When we find ourselves making negative judgments about the worth of another human being, it can be a signal that there is something unsettled in ourselves that needs attention.

In this situation, we will usually find that we have an unmet need for love, attention and safety.

Movements towards harming another person, unconscious or purposeful, generally come from our own unmet needs. It can be as simple as not having enough food to eat,  or as complex as never having been validated as a person of worth.

Both situations involve unmet needs, so it is vitally important to know what our real needs are and to make sure these needs are met in a safe and reasonable way that helps not only ourselves but others.
